HYDRO Tech 2 Swim Fins for Adults - High Performance Training Fins in Ice Blue | Perfect for Lap Swimming, Snorkeling & Water Aerobics

I've been using a pair of Churchill Makapuus for decades, and always dealt with cramps and painful blisters at the ankles. The Hydro Tech 2s fit my wide feet perfectly - no blisters after an extended two hour session today. Also, they are much more flexible than the Makapuus, so it is much easier for me to keep them under the surface of the water and generate thrust. Highly recommended.Note - it's true that they sink like rocks. I always wear fin keepers - even with my old Churchills - because if the surf is heavy enough to rip off you fin, it will be hard to find them even if they float.These fins are very heavy. And they seem to be narrow. I started with a small and then upsized to a medium and they are still tight through the toe box area. ( I wear a women's size 9 shoe). So, for the price I think they should fit better. I have used them a few times but I am not sure I will keep them. I will say however that they are very helpful when working on butterfly compared to regular fins that hurt my low back too much. I wish I had a better report!The Tech 2 Hydro Fin is most comfortable and powerful swim fin I have ever used.I swore by duck feet for power but blisters and sore toes were the trade off and even though I liked the Churchill fins I always considered them under powered for catching waves . The Tech 2 Hydro fins are simply the best fin I have ever used! caveat is they take more strength to use so i would suggest working up into all day use in the surf or you will be getting cramps and sore joints if you go too hard.The escape hole for sand is bar none the best design I have used as well. These fins do not float so you need tethers (fin leashes I suggest creatures of leisure) if you are using them in the surf.The Tech 2 Hydro Fin will allow you to catch any wave you desire. AlohaFins are personal.So these might be great for some.I find them very flexible. Had a hard time catching waves with a scissor kick. If you're an ultra beginner and bicycle kick, May work.This is my second pair of fully silicone fins. They are comfortable for long stretches. They are responsive and great for body boarding. I would recommend you get a size or two up if you intend to wear booties with them.Wrong size and color shipped originally and had to return and reorder.Right the second time. Received when promised. Now to go in the waterwith my new Tech2 fins and see how they fit and work in the water.My son said that they allow great movement on both the down kick and the up kick. Very happy with this fins.Large was a tight fit and returned for a XL size, great fins.Will I pay import fees to South Africa again when the second pair of XL fins arrive ???, as the first pair were too small ???Fantastic fins, totally different from others!5 Estrellas!!!
