Multi-layer Cooling: This personal air cooler features an optimized impeller wheel and a cooling pad to produce large cool humid air volume for your dry, hot rooms with a large air volume of up to 13,000 cubic feet per hour
Cools Wide and Far: Powered by Dreo 1,300 rpm, along with the 80° wide angle oscillation, this evaporative cooler blows cold air at up to 21.65 ft/s and covers far ends of your living space
Comfortable Cool with Humidifying: The hot, dry air passes through the wet cooling pad that absorbs unwanted heat within. This results in the air being recirculated back into the room as gentle, cooler winds with a comfortable humidity level
35dB as Quiet as a Whisper: Dreo crossflow impeller wheel design smooths out fan noise to deliver ultra quiet cooling, leaving your sleep or work in the room always undisturbed during hot summer days and nights
Easy Cleaning, Easy Health: Removable water tank, cooling pad, and rear grille make regular cleaning and maintenance a breeze. Enjoy fresh and cool air at all times only from this portable evaporative cooler
Now I want to inform the logic behind this device and how it works. The way it works is that water is absorbed by a material fiber behind the fan and air flowing through it creates cool air. This is the method behind the evaporative air cooler. It has 3 fan speeds which surprisingly push a lot of air and is quite fast I must say. It has a cool air mode that requires water in its tank that is all the way at the bottom and utilizes that for cooling, while you can also use it as a fan only. It has a running timing mode that runs on the number of hours you apply and automatically turns off after that; maximum hours that it can run for is 7 hours. Now the coolness of your air depends on the temperature of the water in your tank and room temperature but I'll talk about that separately. If the water you pour is really cold, then you should expect the same level of cool air but if the water is warm, then it doesn't exactly produce that cool of a air. DREO in order to help providing cold air provided 2 ice pack blocks as well. The goal is to place them in the freezer and then when you are ready to use the DREO fan, then pour the water and place the ice blocks in the tank. This should cause the water in the tank to get cold and thus providing you with cool air.Now as I mentioned earlier about room temperature, well that plays a huge factor in your cooling. THIS WILL NOT REPLACE YOUR AC, even the manufacturer mentions that. So if you room is really warm then this is not going to be able to cool your room. If you live in a humid environment, then this is not suitable for you because it creates a muggy environment. If you live in such an environment, then I would avoid this and instead get an actual AC. If you live in a slightly humid or dry climate, then this will help as it really does provide a nice humid environment. So with your cool AC air and this results in a great cold air in your room.My only gripe I have is that their is plenty of water in the water for the fan to absorb for but it considers it empty and thus no longer absorbs the water. This leaves issues like water remaining and if you have a hard water problem then that would mean cleaning the tank often. So in summary:Pros: - Great cool air - Pushes a lot of air - Low noise and is not bothersome but everyone has they're own preference - Remote control provided Cons: - Coolness depends on the coolness of your water, room temperature and Humidity - Not all the water is absorbed and there is enough water in the tank for it to absorb more water but the fan deems the tank to be empty which can lead to dirty water accumulation and requires cleaning at timesSo if you live in an environment where during the day temps reach 111F degrees and with your AC on 60F the inside of your house still feels like it's 90F... this swamp cooler probably won't meet your needs of cooling an entire room, especially if you have high ceilings like my room. But if you are in a stationary position and you aren't moving - like in bed for instance - and the fan is directly in front of you on max power 3... you will feel a cool breeze. If you buy this cooler, I suggest you invest in stocking your freezer with 40 frozen water bottles [chamber can hold at least 2] and if the conditions of your home are like mine they will melt inside within an hour. I found that I had to refill and replenish the chamber 3 times in a 24 hour time span. This isn't me complaining about this product, believe me I probably would've died from heat stroke without out it, but I feel like it could've been improved on... like coating the inside of the chamber with a lining that preserves coldness longer so that ice doesn't melt as quickly. The 1 and 2 speed settings are a joke, if it's not on 3 it feels like it's not even turned on, the grill width should be wider to disperse more air in a "V" pattern instead it's more of a 'C' airflow direction... lol imagine the gaps in the letters as wind blowing...3 is the max power setting and during the day it feels like someone is barely blowing on your neck, during the night it slightly gets chilly... but they definitely need to think about increasing the fan speed power even if they have to increase the wattage use. It's quiet sure, but I would rather go deaf from having an airplane turbine blasting cold air on me than worry about if a fan is loud...In fact I have already purchased a 24' high velocity drum fan to do this job which costs about the same price as this product. Gotta find some way to push out and ventilate that melting ice. I was thinking about returning it, but my cat loves laying at the foot of my bed next to it so it's more of a gift for him than me.The cooling gel blocks... are duds, like they don't cool fast enough and just take up room in the chamber, the remote is 7 buttons and comes with a silence feature so that you don't have to hear the beeps? I don't use the oscillate setting as it rotates too slowly by the time it rotates back a grape has turned into a raisin.Sorry I'm just spilling the tea, hope later models improve on the design.Because of the layout of my bedroom, I cannot use a typical portable air conditioner with the window vent. This fan has 85% solved that problem for me, which is honestly better than I expected. The water tank holds enough water to cool for about 5 hours, from what I've been able and willing to test (I usually only use the evaporation system while I sleep). The noise level is very low for the amount of air it pumps out. It's also very easy to move from room to room as needed.Product works well, you just need to make sure you keep the tank and water clean. I had an issue with my pump stop working, contacted dreo directly and they were prompt and helpful. 10/10 Would buy again.I did three tests to see how well the water cooling works.Ran first as just a fan for about 30 minutes. Moves alot of air and cools well that way.Cold water from the tap. Blew slightly cooler air than no water pump/cooler on. Once the water became room temp (about 20 minutes after filling) felt the same as test one.Cold water from tap plus included ice packs and two cups of ice. This was the best result. Noticeably cold air blows through it. Lasted like this for about three hours before water in the tank reached room temp.Pros:Great tower fan on its own.Its pretty quiet.Looks good.Blows nice cool air when tank is filled with chilled water.Gets around 8 hours of continuous run time on a full tank of water.Cons:Only blows cool air with chilled water. Normal temp water wont make any noticable difference.Requires adding ice every couple hours to keep that cool blow going.Does not cool a room. Barely the area its blowing in. You will only get the benefits from this if you are sitting within five or six feet from it and is blowing on you.
