Danby DIM2500SSDB Portable Countertop Ice Maker - 25 lbs Daily Output, LED Display & Self-Cleaning Function - Perfect for Home, Office, Parties and RV Use

I bought this one and I have 2 problems with it, first the drain cap needs to be made better to unscrew it, it is not the easiest to get off and the ice machine does leak occasionally, I have it setting in a old cookie sheet and that helps, it can be a pain but it does work great and over all like it, I don't think I would buy it again because of the leaking. I use it every day and love having ice made and ready and waiting, since I don't have a automatic ice maker in my fridge, then is the next best thingABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ICE MACHINE. I bought one originally from QVC and gave to my daughter. Now have gotten 2 more, one for my MOM and one for me. HONESTLY, THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST ICE MAKER EVER. It makes Ice quickly and it has a SELF CLEANING FEATURE which is amazing. The ice melts in the machine and it makes more based off that so depending on how much ice you use, just make sure you check if water needs to be added.YOU WILL LOVE THIS FOREVER!Works great. The only problem is you can not turn off the beeping noise it does.Water leaks from bottom of unit intermittently. Must use dish drain pad under unit.Works great. Easy to use and maintain.Ice on demand... and right on the countertop. Great product that delivers ice in a convenient dispenser. Shame that there is not some cooling control to keep the ice from melting. Well made item, but took a couple of deliveries to get on that did not have any imperfections.I couldn’t Wait to start making ice. So far the machine has been working great. Ice is made about every 7-8 minutes. I am very pleased with this ice maker.The ice machine is perfect except for the way it was delivered. It was schedueled for delivery on the16th of May and showed as being in the vicinity of our home. It never showed and was not delivered until the 18th. I see the reason why now. It came damaged. It had been dropped. It came rewrapped and re-supported with alot of extra tape. It was not shipped in bubbble wrap and by these pictures you can see it was dropped. It does still work great but the visual appearance is disheartening.After a few months of use, ice machine stopped making ice. Getting ahold of Danby support was awful, never could get ahold of them. When we did, they told us they would get back to us, never did, even gave them email and phone. No follow up. Finally after many attempts to get ahold, got information to take to local place to fix. Found out part is not serviceable, can't fix. Tried to get ahold of Danby again, no luck. Very frustrated. Would never buy this brand again.Product does as advertised. Makes ice. The machine itself is not very loud but it beeps for everything:done making ice = beepneeds water = beepice tray full = beepReally other than the frequent beeping it makes ice.I debated for a long time about weather or not to purchase an ice maker to use for camping. I wish I did it sooner! We have used this for about a month now and it is great. We add water and turn it on in the morning and have ice in less than 10 mins. Even on hot days it still produces ice just as well. I am sure that it will pay for itself in one season of camping now that we no longer have to purchase bags of ice from the campgrounds.I absolutely love this product, plug it in, add water to fill line and press on button. Nine ice cones in six minutes. There is an add water indicator and a ice tray is full indicator. When either light is on, the machine will automatically go to standby. Can use tap water or filtered water. Does not recommend juice or other liquids. The ice tray is removable and the scoop is convenient. Within an hour it can produce 4 L jug of ice. What I’ve done is, fill jug with ice after an hour of production, then put jug in freezer as the ice will stick to each other. Then fill with water, juice, or any other liquid. I would highly recommend this. Makes one size.I ordered this ice maker just after Christmas and unfortunately did not attempt to use it until May 2-4 weekend. It did not work. It is passed the return date so I’m out the money.I tried ordering another one in hopes that the first one was just a dud but, yet again, the new one does not work either. I was able to return the second one but I’m still out $100+ and own a broken ice maker. Not impressed at all.
